Neighborhood strives to ensure that our members have access to high quality health care services that are responsive to their needs and result in positive health outcomes. Neighborhood uses the annual HEDIS® measures to objectively assess healthcare quality among our network providers and compare their performance in key areas to plan-wide findings and national benchmarks.
Neighborhood has developed many new tools and informational documents for providers to use under clinical resources in the provider resources tab. These resources include:
NEW! Clinical Quality Measures Guide is a HEDIS reference guide containing measure details and best practices.
NEW! Coding Best Practice documents include updated coding practices and how to code to the highest level of specificity. See current documents for diabetes, hypertension, and depression with more to follow.

The Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) is a standardized set of performance measures developed by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). According to NCQA, HEDIS is one of health care’s most widely used performance measurement tools. HEDIS measures are meant to objectively compare quality across health plans and providers. Additional information on HEDIS is found at www.ncqa.org.
